22 year old Miss Indiana Katie Stam was crowned as Miss America 2009. The event was hosted by Mario Lopez held at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas.
Former University of Indiana student was presented with the crown by Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund.
