Meredith Vieira is quitting 'Today' Show

American journalist, game show host, and television personality Meredith Vieira anounces that she'll leave the "Today" show and be replaced by Ann Curry in June, in line with the e

Natalie Morales will probably take Curry's spot as being the show's newsreader, according to report. The shift will change NBC News' best show, that has been highly rated morning program for more than eight hundred weeks. There've recently been gossips that Matt Lauer is thinking about leaving when his agreement expires in 2012, although it is viewed to be not likely.

Meredith Vieira was extensively anticipated to leave by at the very least September, when her agreement with NBC comes to an end, but this lady has unsurprisingly made a decision to speed up her departure. She's not been shy about her want to spend more time with her hubby, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis, and her little ones. Meredith Vieira explained to a manuscript in October,
"I'll know when it's time to go, and I'm not afraid to go."
Ann Curry could be the organic substitute for succeed Vieira. An associate of the "Today" staff since 1997, Curry was a top contender to interchange Katie Couric when she left for CBS in 2006; Vieira have been having the job as an alternative. Curry said in a 2010 post that "I would've loved" the anchor career.
