Kristen beated out 50 contestants in the live beauty pageant televised from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Kristen graduated from Hoggard High School and is an Honors College Psychology and Spanish major at East Carolina University.
Kristen Dalton will go to the Bahamas in August to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.
"It feels really natural, I've worked so be here and this has been my lifelong dream and it's finally here. And whoever knew you could win in a turquoise gown?" Dalton said after she was crowned as Miss USA 2009.
